Objective: The learner will be able to define the acronym CARP.
Objective: The learner will be able to apply the principles of CARP in analyzing the design of two sample Web pages.
Objective: The learner will write a clear and concise criticism of Sample One and Sample Two and submit it for a grade.
Objective: The learner will be able to correct a poorly designed Web page using CARP and other design tips provided on the Tips page and upload it to the school Web server for display and grading.

Directions: Go to http://digitalclassroom.bravepages.com and click on the Design Tips link. Read and record the definitions for each letter of the CARP mnemonic device in your notebook. Also, look at the Additional Considerations tips. Use any of the relate links to expand on the information given on the Tips page.

Next, analyze Sample One and Sample Two by clicking on the appropriate link in the Exercises section. Write a one paragraph review using Microsoft Word detailing the problems with each page. Print your paper and submit it for a grade.

Finally, choose either Sample One or Sample Two and correct it using Adobe GoLive (your page is index.html). Apply the tips on this page as you redesign it. The media for each page is in the Mr. Johnson's Software folder on the server as media1 or media2. When your page is completed, upload it to the Web folder on the server and label your folder sample1_(your initials) or sample2_(your initials). Send me an email with the URL after you have made sure your page is working correctly in the browser.

When you are finished with the Web page, login to the Quiz Lab and take the test "Web Page Design Basics."
